Uses:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Veloz D Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.

Directions For Use:

• You have been prescribed Veloz D Capsule SR for the treatment of acidity and heartburn.
• Take it one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning.
• It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time.
• Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
• Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Warning & Precautions:

• You experience black stools.
• You have a stomach tumour.
• You are taking medicines to treat HIV.
• You have liver and kidney disease or kidney failure.
• You have a history of fractures or have osteoporosis or taking steroids.
• You develop watery diarrhoea, fever after taking Veloz D capsule.
• You should not give this medicine to children of 12 years and below.
• You are on Veloz D capsules for more than three months. Your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
• You develop skin lesions, especially in the sun-exposed area after taking this medicine.

Veloz D Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Rabeprazole. This combination is used to treat acidity and heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD); a condition where the acid in the stomach flows back up into the food pipe (esophagus). It is also used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers. Domperidone helps to control vomiting by increasing the movement of the gut, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach.

Q. Can the use of Veloz D Capsule SR cause dry mouth?
Yes, the use of Veloz D Capsule SR can cause dry mouth. Dryness of mouth occurs due to Domperidone. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Keep some water on your bedside at night. Cut down the intake of alcohol and avoid smoking. If you have dry mouth, try to use alcohol-free mouthwash as its use can increase the risk of tooth decay.
