Description:

Telmikind-H tablet is an anti-hypertensive used to treat high blood pressure when it cannot be managed using a single medicine. It is a combination of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. This medicine acts by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing diuresis, which acts synergistically to lower the raised blood pressure. Telmikind H tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine without informing your doctor. While taking this medicine try to incorporate a healthy diet and certain lifestyle modifications for better management of your blood pressure. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting Telmikind H.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telmikind-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

The medicine may make you dizzy so avoid driving, using machinery or doing anything that needs concentration unless you know how this medicine affects you. If you accidentally take too much of Telmikind-H Tablet, you may experience symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. However, in some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (e.g., reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience any such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.

Q. Can I come off Telmikind-H Tablet when my blood pressure is under control or normal?
Remember, Telmikind-H Tablet does not cure your hypertension (high blood pressure) but helps normalize it. You should continue taking this medicine even if your blood pressure is controlled. If you stop taking Telmikind-H Tablet, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Generally, blood pressure-lowering medicines are to be taken for the rest of your life. It is important to know that by keeping your blood pressure controlled you are reducing your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.

Q. What happens if I forget to take Telmikind-H Tablet?
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose.
