Description:

Muout Oral Solution is used in the treatment of constipation. It also helps in cleaning and preparation of intestines prior to medical procedures or examinations. This medicine works by drawing water into the intestine thereby makes the stool soft and easier to pass.

Muout Oral Solution should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Employ this medicine regularly to get the most benefit and try to take it at the same time(s) each day. Your dose may go up or down depending on how well it’s working. Don’t take more than you’re advised to and, if you miss a dose, don’t take an extra one to make up for it. Muout Oral Solution takes at least 48 hours to work. Communicate to your doctor if you’re still constipated after three days.

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea and stomach pain. You can help avoid the side effects by drinking plenty of fluids, taking your medicine between meals. Communicate to your doctor straight away if you notice any of these.

Earlier taking Muout Oral Solution, you should tell your doctor if you have diabetes or if you’re unable to digest milk sugar (lactose intolerant). If you use this medicine over a long period of time, your doctor may want you to have occasional blood tests to check the mineral levels (e.g. potassium and sodium). Don’t take other laxative medicines while taking this medicine and check with your doctor if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

FAQs:

Q. What is Muout Oral Solution used for?

Muout Oral Solution is a medicine used to treat constipation and for intestine preparation before surgical procedures. It works by pulling more water into the intestines, which is called osmosis. When there is more water in the intestines, the stool becomes softer or even watery and is easier to pass.

Q. What are the side effects of Muout Oral Solution?

The side effects of Muout Oral Solution are stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. However, these are usually not bothersome, but if they do not resolve, please consult your doctor.

Q. How long does Muout Oral Solution take to work?

Muout Oral Solution usually takes 2 to 3 days to start working. It works by increasing the fluid in the small intestine, thus making stools softer and easier to pass. As a result, a bowel movement is stimulated by causing a watery diarrhea.
