Dexoren S Eye/Ear Drops is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eye or ear. It works by killing and stopping the growth of the bacteria. It also blocks the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation and itchiness in the eyes/ears.DEXOREN S DROPS 5ML belongs to the class of medications called ‘antibiotics' and 'steroids' used for the treatment of the bacterial eye or ear infections. It is used to treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva) and ear infections such as otitis media (middle ear infections) in children with ear tubes and otitis externa (outer ear infections) in adults and children.
Dexoren S Eye/Ear Drops is to be used only in the affected eye or ear. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Complete your dose and do not stop using the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop.
Treatment of Bacterial eye|ear infections.
It is used to treat:
1.Eye infections such as conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva) and
2.Ear infections such as otitis media (middle ear infections) in children with ear tubes and otitis externa (outer ear infections) in adults and children.
This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it.
Eye drops: Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid downwards and outwards. Gently squeeze the dropper and instil the eye drops inside the eye/eyes. Blink a few times to spread the medication inside your eye. It is advisable to press gently on the eyelid's inner corner for 3 minutes to prevent the solution from draining into the nose and throat, especially in children. If you are using more than one drop, it is advised to wait for about 5 minutes between drops.
Ear drops: Tilt your head to the side and gently squeeze the dropper to instil the ear drops inside the ear. Keep your head tilted for a minute to let the drops soak in.
Use of this medicine may cause application site reactions such as burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness immediately after instilling the medicine. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your nose or mouth, rinse it off with plenty of water.

It is advised to check with your doctor before using DEXOREN S EYE|EAR DROPS 5ML if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving, or operating machines since the administration of eye drops may cause temporary blurred vision. DEXOREN S EYE|EAR DROPS 5ML should be used for children only when advised by a doctor.
